There wasn’t any new information about outcomes following from “Investigations” or the “Action Plan” in SCASD presented at the Board meeting this evening. The presentation basically covered the various facets of the Action Plan, very similar to previous presentations on this topic but with more detail on how they have been implemented. Questions from the Board focused on the need for data showing that the Action Plan is working. No such data have been collected as yet, but the plan is to use a system called AIMSweb to collect these data in the future, starting next month. In general, the Board seemed to me to be asking the right questions, and with a tone that was more skeptical than what we heard last spring.
